Bernard Gaven

Age 65 years and I was born on the Gold Coast and have lived here all my life. I did my apprenticeship in Joinery and Carpentry and went into the building industry in 1967. I joined the Fishing Club when I retired in 2003 and became President in 2006.

Joined the club in 1992, has served as an executive committee member since 1993.

Responsibilities - finance, membership register, liquor licensing, and insurance.

Wayne Davis

My job on the committee as Club Captain is to look after fishing competitions, Club fishing rules and help the rest of the committee with the general running of the Club. I am a very keen fisherman and enjoy the Club immensely.

Member of SAFC for two years, member of Southport RSL AFC for 4 years.

Keen to assist with and participate in trips away, local competitions, events between clubs, fundraising and other club activities.

During this time I have served as a committee member for 7 years. Since 2001 but missed one year since that time).
